They typically begin with Manny and the tools interacting in Manny's repair shop. Most thirty-minute episodes contain two stories. It is unknown exactly where this town is located, but there are a multitude of Spanish speaking residents within it and the town is surrounded by tropical plants and ocean water (as seen in the Main Title Theme of every episode and as well as seen sometimes during the end of them).
Handy Manny (starring Wilmer Valderrama as Manny) is set in the fictional town of Sheet Rock Hills where the titular character, Manny, owns a repair shop along with his anthropomorphic talking tools.
The series was made available on Disney+ on Novem(the day it launched in Canada, the Netherlands, and the US), where it not only released its episodes & Spanish, but other languages as well (excluding Hebrew & Latin). The theme song is performed by Los Lobos. The show’s animation is produced by Canada-based Nelvana and features the additional voice talents of Dee Bradley Baker, Tom Kenny, Fred Stoller, Nika Futterman, Kath Soucie, Carlos Alazraqui, Grey DeLisle, and Nancy Truman. The show was created by Roger Bollen & Marilyn Sadler, and developed for TV by Rick Gitelson. The titular character (as well as his counterpart from old Sheetrock Hills) are voiced by Wilmer Valderrama. (The series finale premiered on the Disney Junior block on Disney Channel at 10:30 AM ET & on the Disney Junior channel on the same date at 6:00 PM ET). After the series finale originally aired on February 14, 2013, reruns aired on Disney Junior (in the US) until April 26, 2018. On February 14, 2011, it was moved to the Disney Junior block, which served as Playhouse Disney's replacement.
